Victims are reporting huge losses due to increased scam activities, particularly within the crypto and lending sectors. The scammers may advise you to apply for a loan with a specific lender, including THE FINANCEABLE, to fund the investment.

Tips for protecting yourself against internet scams or cyber criminals:

• If an unknown individual contacts you, do not release any financial information such as your bank account details or credit card numbers, and avoid sharing personally identifiable information (PII) like your Social Security number, home address, or full name, and do not send them any money.
• Only scammers will guarantee profits. Be cautious trusting anyone who promises a quick and easy return on your investment.
• Pause and investigate if they ask for money up front. Scammers often impersonate companies and individuals, requesting money from you upfront.
• Be suspicious if they tell you not to talk to other people. This is a tactic used to minimize their risk of exposure.
• Watch for misspelled URLs and email addresses, which often contain a slight deviation from the legitimate financial institution URL.
• Cryptocurrency payments aren't reversible. Create a secure password and only send crypto to crypto wallets you trust.
• Do not pay for services that claim to be able to recover lost funds.
